What We’ll Do — Trekking Tour in Orgosolo
A journey through culture, nature, and pastoral traditions of Barbagia
Murals, breathtaking landscapes, and authentic flavors.
Join us for an adventure to Orgosolo, the heart of Barbagia. Board our 4×4 Land Rovers and immerse yourself in history, traditions, and wild nature. The historic center of Orgosolo, famous for over 200 murals and traditional costumes, tells stories of local culture and folklore that attract visitors from all over the world.
After exploring the town, we head into the Supramonte for a light trek to Monte Novo San Giovanni (1,316 m), surrounded by green pastures and breathtaking views. Spot local wildlife, including wildcats, golden eagles, and peregrine falcons.
The day ends with a traditional shepherd’s lunch in a rustic sheepfold, surrounded by ancient oak trees. Enjoy boiled sheep, roasted suckling pig (su porcheddu), Sardinian pecorino, accompanied by Cannonau wine and local grappa (filu ‘e ferru), all produced directly by the shepherd and his family.
