WHAT WE WILL DO

Departure at 9.30 from the Hotel Restaurant Sant'Anna - in the homonymous hamlet of Lodè, here you can leave your cars free of charge in a large parking lot and ride on the Montalbo Adventure Train, for a truly unique adventure in Sardinia, characterized by an amazing path and breathtaking landscapes.The route is realized within the Man And Biosphere, a UNESCO heritage site.

Arrived at the first stop of 30 minutes with a very light walk of 800m in locality Su Lidone, we will taste the organic honey and the ricotta del pastore with local bread accompanied by niche wines. During the walk we will enjoy the view of the beaches, a panorama between limestone peaks, forests and a wide aerial view of the coast from Tavolara to Orosei.

We resume our route, after about a km reaching a natural source Sa Mela, where we will taste an aperitif and a typical Sardinian dessert, our guide will explain the traditions and some curiosities of the place and neighboring countries.

We continue our march, aboard the train with the music of the territory, admiring the surrounding valleys and villages, until arriving at the natural source of Talisu, where there will be the tasting of bread carasau (typical Sardo bread) cheeses, salami and Extra Virgin Olive Oil of the territory, wines including, Vermentino di Sardegna, Cannonau and various drinks. You will then continue to the inn where the tasting of Sardinian beer will be held.

After a short stop we head to the old oil mill where we will take a small walk admiring all the mountain range of Montalbo, endemic plants and panoramas as far as the eye can see.Continuing along the way we will meet a secular forest where we will make a short stop to taste the myrtle of Sardinia and take the group photo.

We head towards the valley where we will stop and take a short walk to visit the typical Sardinian huts "Sos Pinnettos" of the old and revalued shepherd’s houses. We start again with the musical animation towards the way back, along which we can still admire various species of animals, cows, sheep, goats and wild species of the territory.

All on board to head to the station of the adventure train Montalbo, where you will be our guests at the FESTIVAL OF ROASTED PIG.Guests will taste wines from our cellar, the Sardinian pig, seasonal vegetables, coffee, brandy, watermelon and even myrtle, All immersed in a festive atmosphere, animated by accordion, songs and dances. We finally take the mythical train to accompany you back to the starting point at the parking lot.
