Tiscali Nuragic Village Trekking Tour with Traditional Shepherds' Lunch
Discover one of the most mysterious and fascinating archaeological sites in Sardinia with an unforgettable trekking experience in the heart of the Supramonte.
The hike begins at 9:00 a.m. from the Su Gologone springs parking lot. After a short off-road transfer, we'll reach the base of Mount Tiscali and begin our hike through the rugged landscapes of the Supramonte.
Following an approximately 90-minute trek along ancient shepherds' paths, we will reach the impressive karst sinkhole that hides the famous Nuragic village of Tiscali.
This extraordinary archaeological site is unique in Sardinia, as it was built inside a huge natural cave and is considered one of the last strongholds of the Nuragic population during ancient invasions.
During the guided visit, you will learn about Nuragic civilization, the history of the village, and the archaeological discoveries uncovered during excavations.
After exploring the site, we will follow a scenic circular trail back to the off-road vehicles.
The experience continues at a traditional shepherds' hut where a generous lunch featuring authentic local specialties will be served.
