Su Gologone, Lanaitho Valley and Sedda Sos Carros with Shepherd's Lunch
Discover the most authentic heart of the Supramonte on a guided off-road excursion through karst springs, Nuragic archaeological sites, natural caves and traditional shepherd culture.
A complete experience combining nature, history and local gastronomy in one of the most fascinating areas of Sardinia.
What We Will Do
The meeting point is at 09:30 at the Su Gologone Springs parking area, where we will begin our visit to the most important karst spring in Sardinia.
Here you will admire crystal-clear waters emerging from a cavity over 100 meters deep, with a minimum flow rate of approximately 300 liters per second.
We will then continue by off-road vehicle towards the beautiful Lanaitho Valley, a territory rich in history, endemic flora and unspoiled landscapes.
We will visit the Nuragic village of Sedda Sos Carros, one of the most important archaeological sites in Sardinia, famous for its sacred spring decorated with nine ram heads carved into stone, a unique feature in the entire Mediterranean area.
A short walk will take us to the nearby Sa Ohe Cave, a spectacular natural cavern from which, during periods of heavy rainfall, an underground river emerges with impressive force.
At the end of the visits, we will reach a traditional shepherd's hut in the Supramonte, where a generous lunch prepared by local shepherds awaits us.
